This past Saturday I met up with Cathy, Kevin and their little girl Kenzie in Queens, NY! This was an especially special family session for me as our story goes back to before they were married! Through a series of fortunate events, Cathy and Kevin found themselves in Syracuse and decided to hire me for their engagement photos and to capture their wedding day! They wanted their engagement photos in San Francisco (where they lived at the time) and they needed their wedding photographer to also be able to capture their special day in NYC! This seemed impossible to them, however through MORE fortunate events, I was going to be traveling to San Francisco to capture a wedding just a few weeks after we chatted and I’d also be in NY for the date of their wedding! We were a match made in heaven… ok… THEY are the match made in heaven- I just happen to be a perfectly sized photographer puzzle piece!
All of this to say, when Cathy reached out to me recently about going to Queens, NY to capture their growing family, I couldn’t say ‘YES!’ fast enough! Meeting little Kenzie was such a joy! She’s a cute little stinker with a big personality! We started at a cool cafe (yummy coffee!) called White Noise and then moved on to finish up at a pretty little area by the name of Kissena Park…
Kenz provided us with lots of laughs… she’s such a silly little cutie!

This photo has got to be one of my favorites! It’s the kind of moment that lasts about one second… I saw it take shape before it happened and boom! Got it! So glad!
… and of course, a sleepy Kenz was how we finished our photo session! She was a great sport in the chilly weather and well deserving of a cozy nap!
I had an awesome time with Cathy and Kevin and it was beyond wonderful to meet their little addition! Here’s to you two and your little lady!
